Rawalpindi – The Pakistan Army recently conducted large-scale live-fire drills as an exhibit of tactical readiness and operational strength, according to an official statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), its media wing.

These drills, held at an undisclosed location in the country’s desert region, featured coordinated infantry, armor, artillery and air defense exercises with senior military officials such as Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir who praised their professionalism and combat readiness.

“These exercises demonstrate our dedication to national defense and readiness to meet any threat, whether internal or external,” stated General Munir, emphasizing that Pakistan Army remains vigilant as regional security dynamics evolve.

Live-fire demonstrations included coordinated strikes, tactical maneuvers and joint operations between ground forces and combat helicopters. Tanks, multi-barrel rocket launchers (MBRLs), and heavy artillery were utilized to replicate battlefield scenarios under warlike conditions while troops also conducted anti-tank operations and rapid mobilization drills.

According to ISPR, the purpose of the exercise was to promote operational coordination between different branches of military, test equipment in realistic settings, and enhance soldiers’ capacity to respond swiftly in high-pressure situations.

ISPR stated, “These drills are part of our army’s routine training cycle aimed at attaining excellence and precision,” adding: “Our forces train under harsh conditions to remain ready to defend Pakistani sovereignty.”

Military analysts speculate that such exercises are designed to send a strategic message to regional rivals during ongoing tensions with India, following cross-border skirmishes and political rhetoric over Kashmir.

“The timing of these drills is significant,” noted retired Brigadier Asad Mehmood, a defense analyst. Live-fire exercises like these demonstrate readiness as well as sending a deterrent signal to enemies.

These exercises come at a time when geopolitical instability in South Asia has increased significantly, including security worries along Pakistan’s western border and increased international scrutiny on South Asia’s nuclear-armed neighbors.

As Pakistan Army conducts internal anti-terrorism operations, they have also demonstrated their dedication to conventional defense preparation and modernizing their combat capabilities.

General Munir concluded the exercise visit by commending troops’ high morale and dedication, affirming their place at the core of Pakistan’s national security strategy.
