Islamabad: Pakistan on Monday categorically denied Indian allegations, labeling them a smear campaign designed to malign Islamabad’s international image. Addressing a press conference, senior Pakistani official Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari (more commonly known by his initials Bokhari) asserted that India’s accusations were baseless, politically-motivated attempts to divert attention away from internal struggles that Pakistan is currently facing.

Bokhari, who serves as a key adviser within Pakistan’s political establishment, accused New Delhi of engaging in deliberate misinformation tactics after recent incidents in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to promote peace and stability throughout the region and was not deterred by what he termed as India’s desperate attempts at misinforming international audiences.

“Each time India experiences internal unrest or international criticism, it blames Pakistan without evidence,” Bokhari noted. This tactic is part of an elaborate campaign designed to isolate Pakistan diplomatically while covering up for India’s failures in Kashmir.

India recently accused Pakistan of supporting cross-border terrorism and interfering in domestic affairs of India, claims which Islamabad strongly refutes by providing diplomatic and moral support for Kashmiri people’s struggle for self-determination in accordance with international resolutions.

Bokhari called on India to cease the politics of blame and instead engage in meaningful dialogue to address outstanding issues. He underscored Pakistan’s view that peace in South Asia depends on resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Bokhari stressed, “Pakistan does not seek confrontation, but we will not permit its sovereignty and reputation to be undermined through baseless allegations,” which needlessly undermine its sovereignty and reputation. India needs to focus on their own policies and human rights abuses rather than placing blame elsewhere.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office issued a formal statement supporting Bokhari’s remarks and condemning India’s behavior as irresponsible and provocative, calling out their behavior as irresponsible and provocative while remaining committed to regional peace but expecting that international community take notice of India’s actions that threaten stability.

Analysts warn of a growing tension between their two neighbors at a time when both nations face economic challenges and regional security concerns. Diplomatic efforts have proven futile; each side hardening its positions.

Presently, Pakistan’s firm response, led by figures such as Bokhari, is indicative of Islamabad’s readiness to resist what they perceive to be unwarranted Indian propaganda campaigns.
